THE GOOD: the food. the different cultures within one community. THE BAD: the sprawl. Big oil's influence.

Life is easy: jobs plentiful, can get everything, easy to get around, easy to make friends, so snow or ice!

Good - Great arts scene w lots of support for local talent! Bad - All the cookie-cutter condos going up ITL.

favorite things - some really brilliant cultural institutions, formal and otherwise... least favorite - dirt, smog, stench, etc.

I like the arts, the food, tech community and the people. Don't like traffic, sprawl, suburbs and the heat

Food: value, focus & diversity. People: not as warm as 80's but still optimistic. Rdm discoveries: that expand sense of life/perceptions.

HATE: the heat. LOVE: that first day in October when the heat goes away.

HOU..the good: downtown, tunnels, public trans, social/meetups, city parks..the bad: traffic, non-city parks..the ugly: services, bugs, heat

A lot of the things I hate about Houston are the natural consequence of a big city, like traffic. But hate heat.

For natural beauty, ck out Sims Bayou Nature Ctr boat ride. Canoe down Buffalo Bayou. Arboretum. More than most think.

@Snakecharmers I didn't know you could Canoe in Houston. Must try that. I usually go to Austin for canoing.

The seemingly endless new things that you can discover, for example the tortilla factory I found today in The Heights while riding my bike!
